1.Job Title: School Head Chef

Job Type: Full Time

Our client is a unique co-educational day and boarding school that offers the British National Curriculum from Kindergarten (Aged 3-5) through to A- level (from Year 7 to Year 13) to students from diverse geographical and cultural backgrounds. The school has roots in the highly successful and popular

 

Roles will include:

  1. Ordering of food ingredients according to menu prepared from the main store
  2. Planning menus according to a fixed budget and following guidelines on nutrition and healthy eating
  3. Monitoring and managing supplies within a budget
  4. Supervising the work of catering staff, including allocation of duties and work rotas
  5. Liaising with kitchen manager and school nutritionist
  6. Complying with food safety legislation

Skills and experience

  1. Excellent communication skills
  2. Good standards of hygiene
  3. Organized and methodical
  4. A minimum of five years experience in both hotel and school( mass production and ala cuts)
  5. Supervising a team of catering staff

Minimum Qualifications

  1. Diploma in food production and culinary arts from a recognized institution
  2. A certificate in HACCP( Hazard analysis and critical control points) will be an added advantage

2.Job Title: Music Teacher

Job Type: Full Time

Job Location: Nairobi

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Education specializing in Music / Recognized qualification in Music (example London Conservatory of Music, ABRSM)
  • At least two years’ British National Curriculum demonstrable teaching experience in music. Alternative curricula experience will be considered.
  • Good intra and interpersonal skills.
  • Must have demonstrable interest in music as an art form.
  • Knowledgeable in modern pedagogy and music practices.
  • Excellent written and oral communication.
  • Innovative and creative individual.
  • Good planning and organization skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
  • Ability and proven willingness to support clubs and other co-curricular activities.

3.Job Title: Spanish Teacher

Job Type: Full Time

Job Location: Nairobi

Main Duties:

  • To take responsibility for planning and implementing appropriate work programmes for all pupils in the designated grades,
  • To support and drive the ethos, aims and values of the school.
  • To maintain and use assessment records and report on pupils’ progress to staff, and to parents and careers, in accordance with school policy.
  • To ensure that the learning experience matches the individual needs of the pupils in your class – giving each child an opportunity to achieve to the best of his/her capability.
  • To create a secure, happy and stimulating environment, maintaining the highest standards of organization and discipline.
  • To provide well-planned, creative and engaging learning experiences for pupils
  • To liaise with parents concerning pupils’ academic progress and attend Parents’ Meetings to discuss the academic progress of pupils.
  • To write detailed reports on each pupil when required.

Job Qualifications:

  • At least two years’ British National Curriculum demonstrable teaching experience in music. Alternative curricula experience will be considered.
  • A university degree in Education specializing in Spanish and any other teaching subject – BED Arts (Spanish/Another subject)
  • Prove of active involvement in the Spanish Language development activities e.g. Drama, Music, Workshops etc
  • Excellent written and oral communication.
  • Innovative and creative individual.
  • Ability and proven willingness to support clubs and other co-curricular activities.
