Purpose & reporting:

Greenlight Planet is into manufacture and sales of solar lanterns and other products for millions of off-grid families across the world, with focus on south-east Asia, Africa, Latam. Our customers are served through 2 channels:

The DTV (direct to village) model, and
The global partnership model.
The Pay as you Go Direct Sales Model
Job Location: Nairobi, Kenya

Reporting to: Chief Financial Officer

The Role:

Greenlight Planet offers numerous opportunities to grow professionally, across a variety of geographies. This role will work closely with various internal and external stakeholders stake holders across functions like Sales, Marketing, Finance etc to provide seamless reverse logistics and Quality Control operations across Africa.

The role may involve travel of about four days every month.

Key responsibilities for the role:

The Manager – Customer Service & Quality : Products Africa, will manage resources and daily operation of the function to ensure efficient execution of relevant reverse logistics supply chain processes and to strive for functional excellence of all activities by:

Leading the expansion of service centre footprint across Africa
Creating processes to service customers with a faulty light with world class service levels
Leading the demand and supply planning activities
Creating partner facing reverse logistics models for Sun King partners
The ideal Manager – Customer Service & Quality : Products Africa has:

A Bachelor’s degree or MBA qualification in Operations from a Premier institution
Relevant experience setting up after sales and quality control infrastructure including service and refurbishment centersin rural areas, planning for spare parts and repair and replacement policies to design world class customer service processes.
3-5 years in consumer durables after sales service. (experience with companies working in rural markets would be preferred).
Experience in handling cross-regional teams/stakeholders would be a big positive.
Experience in handling large Microsoft Excel files is a must.
Knowledge and hands-on experience designing and implementing unique reverse logistics processes and infrastructures.
Knowledge of handling imports and clearance for spare parts.
Knowledge of working and managing large and distributed network of service centres and refurbishment centres.
Knowledge of pricing and receivable modules for customer servicing.
Ability to work with various stakeholders such as sales teams, marketing, Finance Operations, etc.
Knowledge and working experience of ERP systems (SAP R3, Oracle, etc.)
Excellent communication skills
Energy, drive and the ability to handle multiple challenges and rapid growth
